The theme of this Women's brunch was "Fill Me with Hope".... it was awesome! And I'm not talking about the cupcakes, but rather the message! :)
Nonetheless, a friend asked me to make some mini cupcakes for the event and to keep in theme.... so I copied the branch and berries from the invite. The cupcakes were lemon and french vanilla minis with Vanilla Whipped frosting, lightly sprayed with yellow food dye, topped with a branch piped with chocolate frosting and blue berries made of fondant.

Paul Frank Baby Shower
A challenge I couldn't resist! A friend sent me a pic of Paul Frank cupcakes and asked if I could duplicate them.... Ha! But of course..... I think they turned out pretty darn adorable!
The cupcakes were banana flavored too, with fresh bananas mixed in the batter..... so fitting. :) The Paul Frank monkey is made completely of fondant.... all edible!

Princess Jasmin Birthday Party
Oh what fun this was to make! The cake is a 6-inch round 2 layer cake covered in fondant and decorated with non-edible jewels.... edible jewels are available, but can be a bit costly, this was a more economical approach .... just need to remind guests not to eat 'em!!! :) And the perfect topper was a mini snow globe of Jasmin and Raja that the birthday girl could keep as a memento of her special day!
The accompanying cupcakes were topped with Vanilla Whipped frosting tinted in coordinating jewel toned colors and sprinkled with edible gold disco dust.

Bowling Party
Movie Theater Birthday
Last Saturday was my daughter's 13th Birthday (the "Gigi" in Gigi-Belle Cupcakes). She is too cool for mom to go all out planning princess and ballerina dress up parties.... so she decided a day with friends at the Century City Mall and a movie (Alice in Wonderland! =D) would be cool enough. But you better believe I was still going to do some kind of themed cupcake display.........
"Hi-5" Birthday
So, I was asked to create Hi-5 Character Birthday cupcakes for a 1st year Birthday Party.... This was the first I've ever heard of the character. I was sent a picture and this was the result... He was quite fun to create... the face is white chocolate (tinted purple) and molded into medallions, suger candied eyes, frosting piped hair and legs and yellow candy confetti feet.
Slumber Party
These little darlings were created for a friend's daughter's "Slumber Party".... the design was taken from the wonderfully creative "Hello, Cupcake!" book ...EVERYTHING is edible... from the marshmallow pillows to the blankies made of rolled fruity tootsie rolls to the mini vanilla wafer heads. The faces were even drawn on with food decorating markers. and let's not over look the candied eyes, Jelly Belly feet, Teddy Graham teddy bears and Laffy Taffy sculpted books. What fun!

Fairy Garden Cupckaes
My Bella's 5th Birthday Garden Fairy Ball was a success! All of our fairy guests enjoyed tea sandwiches, storytelling and dancing (by "Dancetime by Stephanie"), scrapbooking and of course the cupcakes! The display consisted of a mix of Vanilla, Lemon, Chocolate and Red Velvet cupcakes...all with none other than my specailty Vanilla Whipped Cream Cheese topping and decorated with hydrangea, butterflies and plush fairy ornaments attached to pastel colored cupcake pedestals. What a magical time it was!
